It's breathable, soft, and easy to work with, making it a versatile choice for many sewing projects. Here's a list of items you can sew from 150gsm cotton woven fabric: clothing, home décor, throw pillows, tote-bags, upholstery.
Fabric Care: Cotton woven 150gsm fabric should be machine washed at 30–40°C with mild detergent and similar colors. Tumble dry on low or line dry to prevent shrinkage. Iron on medium heat, preferably while damp. Pre-washing is recommended to avoid later shrinkage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Cotton jersey 220gsm is a medium-thick, stretchy, breathable knit cotton fabric ideal for comfy clothing like babywear, tees, dresses, and sleepwear. It’s soft, a bit structured, and not flimsy.
Fabric Care: Cotton jersey 220gsm fabric should be machine washed in cold or warm water, ideally between 30 to 40°C. Use a gentle or normal cycle with a mild, color-safe detergent. For drying, it's best to air dry by laying the fabric flat or hanging it, but if you choose to use a tumble dryer, select a low heat setting to avoid shrinkage. Ironing should be done at medium temperature, preferably on the reverse side to prevent shine or fading, especially if the fabric is printed or dyed. Avoid using bleach unless the fabric is white and labeled as bleach-safe, and steer clear of high heat drying or rough agitation, which can cause pilling or distort the fabric's shape.
FRENCH TERRY 300GSM
- Price per meter: € 21.90
- Composition: 95% cotton & 5% elastane
- Weight: 300g/m2
- Width: 145cm ± 2cm
- Certificates: Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Product class I
French terry 300gsm is a medium-heavy knit fabric with a soft, looped underside and smooth top, weighing 300 grams per square meter. It’s ideal for stylish, comfy pieces like sweatshirts and joggers that are breathable but still warm enough for cooler days.
Fabric Care: French terry 300gsm fabric should be machine washed in cold or warm water (30–40°C) using a gentle cycle and mild detergent. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals. For drying, air drying is best to prevent shrinkage and help the garment maintain its shape. If using a dryer, choose a low heat setting. Iron the fabric on a low to medium setting, ideally inside out, and avoid direct contact with any printed areas. Fabric softeners are not recommended, as they can reduce the softness and absorbency of the loops. Dry cleaning is generally not suitable for French terry.
COTTON CANVAS 250GSM
- Price per meter: € 18.71
- Composition: 100% cotton
- Weight: 250g/m2

A waterproof cotton canvas 250gsm is a medium-weight, tightly woven cotton fabric that has been treated to resist water penetration. The "250gsm" stands for grams per square meter, indicating the fabric's weight and thickness—it's sturdy but still flexible, making it suitable for items that need durability without being overly heavy. Because it's waterproof, it has been coated with polyurethane, creating a surface that repels water. This type of fabric is commonly used for things like bags, aprons, outdoor cushions, baby products, and accessories where both strength and water resistance are important.
Fabric Care: It's best to clean it with a damp cloth or sponge using mild soap to remove surface dirt or stains. If a deeper clean is needed, hand washing or machine washing on a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent is acceptable. Avoid soaking the fabric for long periods, as this can weaken the waterproof treatment. After washing, always air dry the fabric—do not use a tumble dryer, as high heat can damage the waterproof layer. Direct sunlight should also be avoided during drying, as it may cause fading or affect the coating over time. Ironing should be done on a low setting, and only with a pressing cloth placed between the fabric and the iron. Never iron directly on the waterproof side. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, dry cleaning, and any harsh chemicals, as these can damage both the cotton and the waterproof finish.
